The Stade de France and the Stade Vélodrome saw their stands fill up in record time this Wednesday April 17. On Monday, Marseille rapper Jul revealed the organization of two exceptional concerts for 2025: April 26 in Paris and May 24 in Marseille. Demand was so high that tickets sold out in just a few hours, leaving thousands of fans without a precious ticket. From midday on Wednesday, when the ticket office opened, the official sites of the two stadiums as well as Ticketmaster were overwhelmed by a wave of requests. More than a million connections were recorded for both shows, according to Jul’s team. Some Internet users shared their screenshots showing virtual queues with delays estimated at more than an hour, barely ten minutes after the start of the sale.

With respective capacities of 80,000 and 60,000 seats for the Stade de France and the Stade Vélodrome, many fans were disappointed not to be able to obtain tickets. For those tempted by the black market, a warning has been issued against illegal platforms. Tickets were already being offered at significantly increased prices on the black market. On X, Stade de France announced that tickets purchased on their site would only be available via their application as the concert approaches.

After more than a decade of career and more than seven million albums sold, Jul confirms his status as one of the most popular artists in France. On social networks, he soberly thanked his fans with a “And thank you very much to the team”. If Jul has already performed at the Stade Vélodrome in 2022, the concert at the Stade de France will be a first in his career. He will thus become the fourth urban artist to grace the Saint-Denis stage, joining Soprano, Maître Gims and Booba.
