the Fourth time wasn’t a succes.
Three times in the past, the Danish håndboldherrer lost a WORLD cup finale, but Sunday evening was Nikolaj Jacobsen’s troops a hole in the abscess with storsejren over Norway in Herning.
Thus writes Denmark, located in a small and rather exclusive club of countries that have won both the WORLD cup, the OLYMPICS and the european championship for men. Only France and Russia have so far won the three major championships.
in return, Denmark is the sole country in the world that can boast of having won the WORLD cup, OLYMPICS and european championships for both men and women.
The Danish women had their heyday in the 90’s and in the first half of the 00’s, where it was to three european championships, three OLYMPIC victories in a row as well as a single WORLD title in 1997.
France’s and Russia’s women have since also delivered strong results, but lacks both a single title in order to be able to make Denmark the art.
The French women have never won the OLYMPICS – partly because they lost the finals in 2016 to Russia. The russians missed their chance to win the first european championship title last year, where they lost the finals at the championships… to France!
