The mexican drug lord Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman even participated in an execution of three captured rivals, one of whom was still alive when he was buried.

It tells the witness Isaias Valdez in connection with the proceedings against Guzman in New York, writes the Associated Press.

Isaias Valdez, who was hired as a bodyguard for kartelbossen in 2006, was told that Guzman got his men to dig a hole, before he injured the rival with a shot.

The wounded man ‘gasped still after air’, as Guzman ordered him buried alive, tells the witness.

– It was how we threw him in the hole, ” says Valdez from the witness box.

Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman is accused of drug smuggling, money laundering and murder and could face life in prison if he is found guilty.

Several witnesses during the trial told how Guzman drives Sinaloa cartel with hard hand and ordered the killing of his opponents.

But Isaias Valdez, 39, is the first witness, which describes in detail how ‘El Chapo’ himself led the way in acts of violence.

Isaias Valdez had a history in the mexican military, when he was recruited to provide protection for the kartelbossen. The first time he met Guzman, he was greeted in English.

– Dude, how ya doin? (How are you, mate? Ed.), it sounded fresh from the kartelbossen.

But the cheerful tone disappeared from the courtroom in New York, when the prosecutor asked Valdez if he has seen Guzman personally inflict injury.

The next few minutes describing Isaias Valdez several episodes in gruesome detail, writes the Associated Press.

One episode involved a member from a rival group that already had been tortured with an iron, when he was led to Guzman.

Guzman had questioned the man and left him in a locked shed in several days, after which the interrogation continued. The man was subsequently killed.

A second time declared Guzman thrilled that they have been given a gift’, just as a plane with two bagbundne members of the rival Zeta cartel landed at narkobossens property.

Guzman asked his bodyguards to take the two men to a private area and ‘warm them up’, which meant that they should be beating.

Later arrived Guzman to the site and asked to get a branch that could be used as slagredskab.

According to the witness the beating Guzman to the victims for hours, into their bones were crushed. He asked his men to light a fire, and the two tortured men were before going to the flames.

Boom! He shot one in the head, says Isaias Valdez in his testimony and adds that the other man shortly after suffered the same fate.

Guzman ordered subsequent to his men to burn the bodies on the fire throughout the night, so there was the bones back the next morning.
