Sint-Genesius-Rode The onze-Lieve-Vrouwsite in Sint-Genesius-Rode and the campus of St. Victor are wed night evacuated by a drip pan. More than 2,000 children and staff were evacuated, including a daycare. The scent seemed harmless, but the emergency services received several calls from the senne Valley. For the moment it is a mystery where the smell comes from.
The drip pan was at 10 pm, noted in the secondary school, the onze-Lieve-Vrouwinstituut in Sint-Genesius-Rode. “A security consultant of the school has immediately to raise the alarm and so is the entire evacuatieprocedure started,” says information official Steven Van Camp of Sint-Genesius-Rode. “The nursery, the kindergarten and the primary school were evacuated. The children were housed in the church, the library, the town hall and the cultural center.”
