Carlos Mané goes on loan to 1. FC Union Berlin. The Portuguese comes from Sporting Lisbon and remains until the end of the season. The clubs have agreed a subsequent option to purchase, which could pull the Union, both during the ascent in the Bundesliga as well as the remaining in the Second League.

Mané knows the Second Bundesliga. As a loan player, he helped VfB Stuttgart in 2017, with six goals and nine templates to a revival in the Bundesliga. The subsequent season he missed due to injury complete. At Sporting Mané came in the current season on seven game applications. “Since the first contact of Union, it was clear to me that I would like to go the step to Berlin. Now I am glad that it worked out, because I would like to finally be back on the court and the team with my performances help,” says Mané, “very good memories” of his time in Germany.

“Carlos brings a scary high speed and has already shown at VfB Stuttgart, how valuable he can be for a Team,” says Oliver Ruhnert, Director of the 1.FC Union. Mané will wear shirt number 17, in the Test against FC Basel on Saturday (14 PM/Stadion an der Alten Försterei) he could come for the first Time. (Tsp)
