“Despite the fact that it was almost 76 years ago, May-Britt Blommé turned 18, she did not buy beer at Coop without having to show their id or read up their social security number.”
“”I have never been through this before, so I thought the cashier was joking at first,” says 94-year-old.”
“Over a period of several Coop stores around the country, mandatory id checks on everyone who buys goods with the age limit.”
“We have noticed a lot of flaws in both our own and the authorities’ controls on it here. Therefore, we wanted to remind our employees to always take the id, ” says Tobias Rydergren, who is head of media relations on the Coop.”

” I had to recite my social security number. Actually, I don’t like to say it out loud, but now there were not so many other in the store, ” says 94-year-old May-Britt Blommé.”
