Guaido also gets support from the Danish government, where the minister for foreign affairs Anders Samuelsen (LA) reports on a ‘new hope in Venezuela’.

‘Denmark supports the legitimate, democratically elected institutions – not least the legislative assembly, and thus Juan Guaido. Pushing for the EU to report total out’, writes minister for foreign affairs on Twitter.

There have been major demonstrations both for and against the incumbent president, Nicolas Maduro. At least four persons have lost their lives in the unrest up to Wednesday’s demonstrations.

Early Monday morning tried soldiers from the national guard to kuppe the incumbent president Maduro. It failed, however, and 27 soldiers were arrested.

A prominent member of Maduro’s socialist party has announced that the country’s parliament, which Guaido is the president of the, shall be investigated for his role in the coup.

When Juan Guaido declared himself the leader of Venezuela, he said that he would print a selection in the country, if the military would support him.

Guaidó had before taken his oath and conducted a [in front of the demonstrators in Caracas.

– I swear hereby that I will take upon me the office of the president to ensure tronranerens departure, he said.

the Usurper is a reference to Nicolas Maduro, who also has long been under international criticism especially from the UNITED states, who has called his government illegitimate.
