a fishing trawler sank Pattanin province while on the trip back to port the crew received a radio warning of the storm. 47-year-old fisherman were killed and one is missing. The other four in the boat a were rescued.
the Storm struck first the South coast of Thailand, on the east side of Nakhon Si Thammaratin province around 12.45 local time. The big waves and strong wind ravaged the Pak Phanang and other coastal areas. Bangkok Post -the magazine in the region has fallen trees and electricity poles. Also buildings have been damaged, roofs gone off and Pak phanang in is flooded.

Tourist most of Koh Samui and Koh phangan people have been urged to move from areas of risk to the highest point of the island.
Nakhon Si Thammaratin airport is closed. Also Surat Thani airport is closed. Bangkok Airways cancelled all outgoing and incoming flights to the tourist island of Ko samui.
the Storm is expected to continue in Southern Thailand Saturday 5. January until now. The area is heavy rain and strong winds.
