Football Cristiano Ronaldo (33) is at the Globe Soccer Awards, voted player of 2018. The international voetbalgala in Dubai is a lightversie of the much more famous Ballon d’or. Deschamps was the coach of the year, Atlético Madrid crowned themselves as the best team. Also, that other Ronaldo was being praised.

The Ballon d’or had Ronaldo still to his former Real Madrid team mate Luka Modric, but during the Globe Soccer Awards – less prestigious – fell to the Portuguese in the prices. He was named the best player of 2018. Kylian Mbappé and Antoine Griezmann were the other nominees.
Ronaldo won the award already in 2011, 2014, 2016, and 2017. An international jury, in which big names are like Antonio Conte, Fabio Cappelo, Luis Figo, Marcello Lippi and Eric Abidal awarded to him for a fifth time. Radamel Falcao (2012), Franck Ribéry (2013) and Lionel Messi (2015) are the other names on the roll of honour. CR7 entered, incidentally, twice the podium, with his bicycle kick against his current employer Juventus, he made the most beautiful goal of 2018.
