The St. Gallen Green send the economic historian and sociologist Patrick Ziltener for the States-election of a substitute from the 10. March into the race. The party’s Board of Directors has nominated the 51-year-old University Professor who had held no political office, unanimously.

The choice of the party on Ziltener was performed according to a statement from early Monday morning due to its experience in international trade law, and solution-oriented positions as an independent economic and social scientists.

for many years, researchers currently serves as adjunct Professor lecturer of sociology and economic history at the universities of Zurich, St. Gallen and Innsbruck (Austria). From 2006 to 2009 he was a research associate at the state Secretariat for economic Affairs (Seco). Patrick Ziltener is married, has a 14-year-old son and lives in St. Gallen. A political office is not clothed Ziltener yet. In the 1980s and 1990s, he was one of according to information of the founding members in the St. Gallen Countryside. He engaged, also, in the case of two national election campaigns.

On 10. March it comes to the vacant councillor seat in the Federal Council selected free intimate Karin Keller-Sutter to a combat choice. The FDP nominated the 51-year-old lawyer and certain day, Susanne Vincenz-Stauffacher. CVP sends the 50-year-old councillor Benedikt Würth of the race.
