the Formula 1 project in Copenhagen is officially brought to an end, but it is not excluded that a new project may see the light of day somewhere in Denmark.

It informs Helge Sander, who has been one of the organisers of the failed project.

– The positive sentiment around the Formula 1 has not surprisingly been other municipalities to respond.

– If there appears a sufficiently interesting project up in other places in Denmark, it should of course be tested, if that is practical, sustainable political and economic relationship to the present, says Helge Sander.

the Municipalities wish at present not to be mentioned, informs Helge Sander, who stresses that it is the Formula One Management (FOM) in London, which has the crucial words that should have said.

Looking at the løbskalenderen, it is in no way a prerequisite to a Formula 1 grandprix to run in the nation’s capital, says Helge Sander.

He annoyed still that it has not managed to convince the government and the politicians in the Copenhagen city council to get the Formula 1 field to the capital.

Formula 1-the project was approved by the Formula 1 management in London and at The International Motorsportsunion (FIA).

After a few years of preparatory studies to several million dollars, the project is now formally completed, informs Helge Sander.

It has happened after an extraordinary general meeting of the “Association for the Promotion of Formula 1 in Copenhagen” and a notice on the exits to the Danish business authority and Tax.

In practice, the project was in Copenhagen in 2020 excluded already 21. september, when mayor Frank Jensen announced that he considered it politically possible to implement.

– We just had to healthy this chokmelding, but we must recognize that here and now it is not possible to implement a Formula 1-race in Copenhagen, although I almost daily since overborgmesterens announcement has received positive feedback, says Helge Sander.
