It is time for Europe to choose the path. In spring it is the elections to the european Parliament. The centre party will go to elections on a green, democratic and libertarian Europe. Today, our board of trustees our platform and lays the foundations before the värderingsval that risk to share our continent. The centre party goes to the polls on a hopeful, forward looking liberal agenda for Europe which will become a counterbalance against the aggressive, nationalist populism is that in country after country spreads out.

Sanctions against member states that violate the fundamental principles of the rule of law and freedom of the press must be powerful.

the EU and the Swedish membership in the EU is worth defending. The EU must show the world that the way forward is democracy, the market economy and climate-resilient growth. It is then necessary to clear liberal voices in Europe. The centre party able and willing to shoulder the responsibility. We want to bring the EU forward. Our platform provides answers to the major challenges Europe is facing:

the World, and Sweden is facing major climate and environmental challenges. Climate change, the spread of toxic chemicals, littering with lots of plastic floating around in our oceans and over-exploitation of the ecosystems are threats to human health, the planet’s survival and a sustainable economic growth.

the EU has a target to reduce carbon emissions by 40% by 2030, and by 2050 to have reduced by 95%. It is good, but not enough. The centre party therefore goes to the choice that the EU should increase its climate ambitions. We want to support the green transition and to the EU’s next major research programmes to be extended, where a large part of the funds will be used to contribute to achieving the climate targets. When we strengthen the possibilities for the green transformation we can at the same time, set higher environmental standards for the european companies. Therefore we go to the polls on setting higher environmental standards for the european automotive industry and on strengthening the EU system for trading in emission allowances and thus raise the price of emissions within the EU.

today, an estimated subsidies for fossil fuels in the EU to between 136 and 200 billion euros per year. This is far more than it spent on the green transition. The centre party therefore proposes for the spring elections a historically powerful environmental policy, and wants the EU to scrap subsidies for fossil fuels. It will be with new technology, entrepreneurship and innovations that we can get a green conversion in the whole of the EU.

We want to take action against the environmental problems that affect people directly in their everyday lives. It is at the EUROPEAN level, as a minimum, of climate change and environmental concerns in the industry are set, and we want to continue to see high goals and at the same time, we require that it should be set the same high requirements on chemicals and plastics from third countries that are placed on those produced in the EU. We want to facilitate for environmentally friendly choices in their everyday lives, and proposes, among other things, the tables of contents of clothing and textiles.

Agriculture is an important part in the green transition. The centre party wants farmers and food producers in the EU is key to compete on equal terms. We want to see the high minimum requirements on both animal welfare, such as climate impact and to ensure fair trade rules. We demand that the EU ensures that the high requirements we place on animal welfare are also complied with. We want a larger part of the EU’s agricultural budget should go to work actively for the green transition.

the World face important choices. Authoritarian forces are gaining ground. Democracy, liberalism, medmänskligheten and equality are threatened. For the Centre party, it is obvious that the world needs a green, democratic and libertarian EU.

today, we see how the security threats towards the EU is changing. Cyber attacks and desinformations and påverkanskampanjer from actors who want to divide the union constitutes an increasing threat. Our common resistance must be strengthened. The centre party therefore wants the EU’s solidarity clause, which commits members to help each other in the event of war or crisis, shall include also påverkanshot and cyber-attacks, and that we raise the union’s minimum requirements in relation to information security.

One of the EU’s central tasks is to stand up for democracy and medmänskligheten. The EU can and should take a great responsibility to help people in need. But then it is necessary for political change. In order to protect the internal movement needed a functioning of the external border and a common asylum policy based on human compassion but also to sort out.

Those who will continue to Sweden or the EU and seek asylum shall have the right to get their protection tested by an expert agency and, if necessary, the courts. The examination must be equivalent throughout the EU and mechanisms for the functioning of the reallocation of asylum seekers to arrive on site. We also need to develop the EUROPEAN union’s system of labour migration. For those countries that do not take their responsibility and accept those who have grounds for protection, there must be severe penalties, for example in the form of reduced strukturbidrag.

Democracy and equality go hand in hand. The authoritarian populism requires that we stand up for women’s rights and defends the attacks against, for example, aborträtten. We must purposefully bring the work on gender equality forward. The centre party therefore goes to the choice on to increase the proportion of women in the EU institutions and bodies.

in Order to ensure a democratic and free EU it is required that the common rules are complied with. We want to place greater demands on the member states to ensure the rights and freedoms

Sanctions against member states that violate the fundamental principles of the rule of law and freedom of the press must be powerful. The centre party would like, therefore, that countries and regions that in different ways undermine the EU’s fundamental values should not take part of the money from the cohesion policy’s various funds and programmes. To violate the EU’s basic values should never be free.

the Basis of a free and democratic EUROPE is a EUROPE that is strong economically. It creates the opportunity for the EU to bring the liberal democracies actions in the world, and showing that democracy and freedom are the way forward. It lays the basis for wagers on the environment, cohesion and security. The centre will therefore be the driving force to strengthen entrepreneurship in the EU by developing the internal market and for more global trade agreements.

. We want to lead the way for a more open and more libertarian EU. We should be an active and key actor that shapes the future of the EU. We will be present where decisions are taken. We will continue to work for the EU to focus on the right things and the right decisions at the right level. We want the EU to take leadership for large cross-border challenges to strengthen environmental and climate change work, helping people on the run as well as promoting trade, strengthening democracy. We go to the elections with the conviction that co-operation in Europe makes us stronger. In the värderingskamp that Europe is facing, we have chosen the page. We want to see a EUROPE that is moving forward.
