Cycling Team Sky, is now available in Chinese hands. Tim Kay, CEO of Global Cycling Project, tells Cyclingnews that he is interested in the British cycling team to take over.

Kay wants first and foremost to own a WorldTour team set up, which in 2020 would have to debut at the highest level. Five years later, a Chinese Tour de France win. That is the dream. But Kay may have a faster tour winner delivery – no Chinese eindlaureaat.

The businessman is willing to Team Sky to take over. “There is still not spoken about, but if the chance arises, I go for that option seriously”, says it at Cyclingnews. “We can project -the first Chinese team with a WorldTour licence – also realize with the current Sky model to take over.”
