Many had written off Norway already before hovedrunden. It needs almost a miracle to go further, when you come in with zero points from the group stage.
For soon seven years ago – in 2012 – came the Danish herrelandslaget to hovedrunden without points, but played it to the final and took gold after that everything went their way in the hovedrunden. The title came completely against the all odds after the introduction
The Norwegian håndballjentene gave never up the dream of semi-finals, but when the germans did not managed to win against the Netherlands, all hope extinguished.
Norway will play for fifth against Sweden on Friday.
