An American neo-nazi is sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of an anti-racist activist in the margin of an extreme right-wing demonstration in Charlottesville.

On 12 August 2017, argued far-right and white nationalist groups during the demonstration ‘Unite The Right’ against the removal of the statues of two generals of the Confederate States, the confederation of southern states of the US at the time of the American civil war. At the same time attracted a large group of tegenbetogers through the streets of Charlottesville.

James Fields, who, from Ohio to Virginia had travelled to the demonstration to attend, drove his car at the tegenbetogers. It was the 32-year-old Heather Heyer to life. 19 other people were injured.
