Mile Svilar in Talks for a New Contract
Two years ago, Mile Svilar made the decision to join Roma. Initially serving as a backup to Rui Patricio, he rose to prominence with the arrival of Daniele De Rossi as the club’s manager.
Under contract until 2027, it is expected that Svilar will continue with the team next season. However, reports from Italian media outlet Il Tempo suggest that the goalkeeper is waiting to see if there will be a potential contract extension.
While Roma is not obligated to increase Svilar’s contract, his impressive performance with five clean sheets in Serie A and European competitions may warrant a reconsideration.
It is worth noting that Svilar had expressed interest in playing for Belgium again after initially choosing to represent Serbia. Despite only playing one friendly match for his parents’ home country, current regulations prevent him from switching national teams.
