Club Brugge Names Player of the Season and Donates to Charity
Hans Vanaken has been chosen as the Player of the Season at Club Brugge. The supporters voted overwhelmingly, and the club will also donate a significant amount to charity through the voting process.
Throughout the year, there were 26,533 votes for the Players of the Month, and as part of the No Heart No Glory campaign, Club Brugge will donate 26,533 euros to charity. The campaign aims to increase the survival rate of heart failure.
Vanaken’s Strength
It comes as no surprise that Vanaken was named Player of the Season. The midfielder was an essential part of the team, especially during the Champions Play-Offs where he led the team to victory. Despite a strong performance towards the end of the season, national team coach Domenico Tedesco did not include Vanaken in the squad. Even after Thomas Meunier’s injury, it seems that Tedesco will stick to his decision to only fill 25 out of the possible 26 spots in the squad.
