Great news for fans of the TV series Euphoria! It has been confirmed that the popular show will indeed be getting a third season. Casey Bloys, in charge of content at HBO, made the announcement. However, the exact release date for the new season is still unknown.
Fans have been eagerly awaiting new episodes of Euphoria for over two years now, and it seems like the wait will continue for a bit longer. HBO informed the cast a few months ago that filming for the new season is not happening anytime soon. This led to doubts about the future of the series.
Casey Bloys has now cleared up those doubts by stating, “Sam Levinson is working on it. There have been a lot of discussions about it.” The reason for the delay in the third season is that the new episodes will no longer take place in high school. The actors have aged significantly since the show first premiered, making it unrealistic to continue in that setting.
“Because of this, you have to carefully consider where you want it to take place and how far into the future you want to set the third season. Sam has an idea about this and he is excited about it. So, he is busy writing,” explained Bloys.
Bloys also confirmed that the new season of Euphoria will still feature the main cast, including Zendaya (Rue), Jacob Elordi (Nate), Sydney Sweeney (Cassie), and Hunter Schafer (Jules). However, since these four young actors have all risen to fame, it may be challenging to coordinate their schedules.
While the exact release date for the new season is unknown, it has been announced that it will be available on the recently launched streaming service HBO Max. Fans can look forward to seeing their favorite characters return in the upcoming season of Euphoria.
