No concerts for Yannick Noah this summer. The 64-year-old singer, who was due to perform among others at the Son des Brass festival in Mamers on July 6, is forced to cancel all his shows due to “ruptured tendons in his hamstrings”. He was injured on Tuesday May 14, during a football match organized for the centenary of Parc Lescure, in Bordeaux. Other sports stars such as Zinédine Zidane and Bixente Lizarazu were also present.
Yannick Noah underwent “a surgical procedure” which will be “followed by a convalescence period which will last all summer,” we can read on the TS3-Fimlac Entertainment Instagram account. We are therefore obliged to cancel all dates planned for this period, from now until September 1st […] We apologize for the inconvenience caused and we hope to have the pleasure of seeing you again soon .”
The production company specifies that “the reimbursement terms linked to these cancellations” will be communicated “quickly” by the organizers of the concerts in question.

Saturday May 18, his birthday, Yannick Noah gave his news on his social networks, to the delight of his fans. “Don’t worry: my body reminds me that time is passing. I know these pains, I am going to fight, he wrote on Instagram. It’s going to be okay, I’m surrounded by love. After my operation I plan to have a fantastic comeback.”
“The operation went well!” exclaimed the singer in an Instagram story on Tuesday, May 21. But to see Yannick Noah on stage, you will have to be patient, the latter being subject to “three months of forced rest”, as he indicated in another story, published Friday May 17.
