Let’s go ! Roland-Garros version 2024, it already starts with Opening Week, from this Monday, May 20 until this Friday. Many French people are competing during this week of qualifications to try to reach the final table. The meetings are broadcast all week on the France.tv platform.

One of the first highlights will be marked Thursday May 23, with the draw for the women’s and men’s draws, from 2 p.m. The president of the FFF, Gilles Moretton, and the tournament director Amélie Mauresmo will be present for the occasion.

The Phillipe-Chatrier center court will no longer be alone. This year, the Suzanne-Lenglen court, also open for qualifying, will be equipped with a roof. “It will allow us to be able to offer matches in the event of bad weather, but also to shelter 25,000 people on the two main courts (15,000 on Chatrier and 10,000 on Lenglen) in the event of bad weather,” explains Amélie Mauresmo.

Another new feature for 2024 is the addition of a night session. There were ten in 2022 and 2023, there will be 11, adding that of the first day of the final table, Sunday May 26. Like last season, there will only be one match and the first point will be played at 8:30 p.m. on the Philippe-Chatrier court.

As since 2021, France Télévisions and Amazon Prime will share the broadcast of the Parisian Grand Slam. From May 26 to Sunday June 9, the France Télévisons system does not change. Goes on air at 11 a.m. on France 4, then the rest of the day will be broadcast on France 3, then France 2. The France.tv site will also offer coverage of all matches, with the exception of those reserved for Amazon Prime Video.

The American platform will broadcast the eleven night sessions from May 26 to June 5, as well as the matches broadcast on the Simone-Mathieu court. These evening sessions will include two exclusive quarter-finals on Tuesday June 4 and Wednesday June 5. Prime Video will also broadcast live and co-exclusively, with France Télévisions, the men’s and women’s semi-finals and finals, singles and doubles from Thursday June 6 to Sunday June 9.

In order to offer an optimal viewing experience to its members, Prime Video will offer the Stadium FX option, which will allow you to watch the match without commentary, with the atmosphere of the stadium. This option will be available on the web, smartphones, Android or Fire tablets, iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.
