An essential leader of Formula when he was at the head of the Benetton and then Renault team in the 90s and 2000s, Flavio Briatore underwent surgery in Milan, on the heart, in Milan, after the discovery of a “benign tumor”.
The Transalpine driver gave reassuring news of his state of health on social networks. “Ten days ago I went to the San Raffaele hospital for a routine check-up and they found a benign tumor in my heart. They intervened straight away. (…). I I spent ten days at the San Raffaele and I disappeared from all social networks,” he explained.
Briatore insisted on the importance of prevention and the essential medical monitoring as we get older: “The main thing is prevention, to have a check-up every year. I did it two years ago and this benign tumor wasn’t there, but there it was. We must therefore not neglect ourselves, prevention is fundamental. It’s me who tells you, I spent ten days in the hospital and here I am again, tomorrow it starts again.”
