Juventus Turin no longer has a coach. The Old Lady sacked Massimiliano Allegri on Friday after the latter’s outburst on the bench during the Italian Cup final against Atalanta Bergamo. But Italian leaders should have no trouble appointing his successor, who should be Thiago Motta.

According to Sky Sport Italia, a three-season agreement is about to be concluded with the former Paris SG midfielder, author of remarkable work with Bologna, qualified for the Champions League next season.

Even if nothing has been made official, a departure from Thiago Motta seems inevitable. Since he ended his playing career, the former international (30 caps with Italy and 2 with Brazil) has taken turns coached the under-19s of Paris SG (2018-2019), Genoa (2019), Spezia (2021-2022) and Bologna (2022 in progress) which he managed to raise to third place in the championship before the two last days.
