Paris SG coach Luis Enrique on Saturday promised “tactical and balance changes” in the way his team plays next season, depending on arrivals and departures during the summer transfer window.
Asked at a press conference at the PSG Campus in Poissy (Yvelines) about possible changes in the game from August, Luis Enrique replied: “Without a doubt, one of the characteristics of a coach is to adapt to the players he has. This year we designed our game idea with the players we had.
Next season, “a lot of things will be repeated but there will be tactical and balance changes. We have room for improvement in defense and attack,” he added.
He took stock of the evolution of his project since the start of the season: “When we arrived, the club decided to change direction, philosophy, idea of play, basing itself more on the collective than on the individual. In this sense we were up to the task, but with a lot of room for improvement.”
Paris SG travels to Metz on Sunday (9:00 p.m.) for the 34th and final day of Ligue 1, for which it has already lifted the trophy. Eliminated in the semi-final of the Champions League at the beginning of May, the club only has a stake in the Coupe de France. He will play the final on May 25 in Villeneuve-d’Ascq against Lyon.
