The Polish Iga Swiatek, winner on Saturday of the WTA 1000 tournament in Doha, consolidates her first place at the top of the world hierarchy, where Caroline Garcia remains French number one in 21st position, according to the WTA ranking published Monday.

Only one change in the Top 10 this week, with the return of the Latvian Jelena Ostapenko in ninth position (2), thanks to her accession to the third round of the Doha tournament. The 26-year-old exchanges places with the Greek Maria Sakkari who falls to 11th place (-2). The only other progression within the Top 20 is that of the Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova, beaten by Swiatek also in the third round in Doha, who gains two places to climb to 17th position.

Among the French, Caroline Garcia lost a few points after her exit in the first round in Doha against the returning Naomi Osaka, but remains at the door of the Top 20, in 21st position. Her compatriots present in the Top 100 all fell one or two places, with the exception of Océane Dodin, who regained one rank (81st) after having lost ten the previous week.
