A new fight for the unions. At the end of a successful meeting of the eight organizations this Friday morning, a day of mobilization in favor of wages and purchasing power, gender equality, and the defense of the environment, was decided for the October 13 next.

A way for the unions to once again show their unity, after the lost battle for pensions, and to continue to put pressure on the government in a context of high inflation. This mobilization will be part of the European framework, the European Trade Union Confederation providing for another mobilization date, December 13, according to Yvan Ricordeau (CFDT).

The secretary general of the CGT, Sophie Binet, somewhat fanned this announcement on Friday, during a debate organized as part of the Summer University of social movements and solidarity, in Bobigny. “We held an inter-union meeting this morning, we will make public on Monday noon (…) a date for mobilization which will be in the middle of October and on issues of wages, austerity, equality between women and men and who will also talk about the environment,” she said.
