Marie Le Net, member of the French track cycling team, announced on Wednesday her package for the Road Worlds on Sunday in Glasgow after testing positive for Covid-19. “This morning we did a test and I have just learned that I have the Covid (…) I will not be driving on Sunday”, declared in a video on social networks the Breton woman who participated all the week at the track events in the Chris Hoy velodrome. She notably won a bronze medal in the team pursuit last Saturday.

The other members of the France team have all tested negative, we learned from the management, while several athletes and members of the management wore a mask on Wednesday in the velodrome. “It was managed by our doctor,” said Florian Rousseau, director of the Olympic program at the French Cycling Federation (FFC). Several athletes from the French track team, including Mathilde Gros and Sébastien Vigier, said that their preparation for these Worlds had been disrupted by small health glitches.
