Spaniard Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia) won the British Grand Prix in MotoGP on Sunday ahead of championship leader Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati), 2nd and increasing his lead overall.
South African Brad Binder (KTM) completes the podium for the ninth round (out of 20) of the season. On the Silverstone track, Espargaro took the advantage over Bagnaia on the last lap of the race and signed his second success in England in the premier category.
On the French side, there was no miracle. Johann Zarco took 9th position after his 4th place in the sprint race the day before. Fabio Quartararo couldn’t do anything at the bottom of the classification on the handlebars of a struggling Yahama. The Niçois finished in a disappointing 15th place.
