Chinese Lian Junjie and Yang Hao were crowned world champions in 10m synchronized diving for the third time in a row on Thursday in Doha.

Lian and Yang, aged 23 and 26 respectively, gave China a seventh diving title since the start of the competition.

Already victorious last year in Fukuoka and in 2022 in Budapest, the two men won with a score of 470.76 points after the five dives. They beat the British Tom Daley, Olympic champion of the event in Tokyo in 2021, and Noah Williams (422.37 pts).

At 29, Daley, who has been playing at a high level since he was 13, won an eighth world medal. Bronze went to Ukrainians Kirill Boliukh and Oleksii Sereda, who won silver last year (406.47 pts).
