A decision that was expected. It is now official. Juventus Turin will not play the Europa League Conference next season, despite obtaining seventh place in Serie A. The Italian club also financially sanctioned by UEFA.

“The first chamber of the CFCB (Club Financial Control Body) concluded that Juventus had breached the UEFA regulatory framework and violated the settlement agreement signed in August 2022, explains the body of European football in a statement. As a result, the CFCB First Chamber has terminated the settlement agreement reached with the club’s Club Financial Control Body.”

UEFA has therefore excluded Juventus Turin from all European competitions next season but also imposed a heavy fine on the club.

A sanction which amounts to 20 million euros for the Piedmont club, including ten million suspended according to the financial results obtained during the next seasons.

Also worried by UEFA, Chelsea is sanctioned “only” with a fine of ten million euros for non-compliance with financial fair play.
