Central defender Samuel Umtiti (29) will commit to LOSC in the coming hours according to information from Petit Lillois, confirmed by RMC. Umtiti arrives free of any contract following the termination of his lease with FC Barcelona (which extended until 2026) and has already passed his medical examination.
Last season, the defender was loaned to Lecce, in Serie A, and had become the local darling. In the North, the French international will replace the former captain of the Dogues José Fonte, who left for Braga, Portugal. Umtiti will sign a two-year contract tomorrow morning before being presented to the press.
