Felix Gall, AUT, winner of the 17th stage of the Tour de France after the 17th stage arrived in Courchevel on Wednesday:
“It’s incredible, I really gained in level before the Tour of Switzerland but it’s really a surprise this victory today. The whole year has been amazing. To be at this level on the Tour, I don’t think anyone expected it. The victory in the Tour de Suisse was also a team effort, we had expected it, it was a bit the same thing today. But there I had more self-confidence, every time you do a good performance you strengthen your self-confidence. It’s the biggest cycling race in the world and the pressure is incredible, so it’s very tough for the riders. It’s amazing to have team members working for you.”
