No need to move. Lucas Tousart, former French international hopeful, has joined Union Berlin. He had played for three seasons at the rival club, Hertha Berlin.

Former OL midfielder Lucas Tousart left France for Germany in January 2020. The 26-year-old had gradually established himself in the German capital. Last year, he missed just one of his team’s 35 games, the first of the season due to suspension. The ex-Lyonnais had even started certain meetings with the armband around his arm.

However, Hertha Berlin finished 18th in the Bundesliga last season and will play in the second division next season. The Frenchman’s departure seemed inevitable. Lucas Tousart then signed up with Union Berlin, which will play in the European Cup next season.

“Union’s journey and success over the past few years has been remarkable, and I look forward to taking on this new challenge,” said Lucas Tousart, delighted to remain in Berlin. I hope to settle quickly at the club and contribute to the success of Union.”
