Tadej Pogacar (UAE), winner of the 6th stage of the Tour de France run on Thursday between Tarbes and Cauterets-Cambasque: “I wouldn’t say it’s revenge, I’m happy to have won today. It’s good to win and to take some time off, it’s a bit of a relief. Who wouldn’t be worried with what Jonas showed yesterday? It was amazing. When he started riding in the Tourmalet, I said to myself Shit, it’s going to happen to me again like yesterday, we’re going to take the bike and we’re going to go home. Fortunately, I had good legs today, I was able to follow him in the Tourmalet. I felt pretty good and after when I felt the right moment, I attacked at the end. It’s a great relief. (…) The gap is almost perfect, it will be a big fight until the last stage. I dedicate my victory to Urska (Zigart, his girlfriend, who fell on the Women’s Giro on Wednesday, editor’s note), she was already at home today, she did not run.
