The matches of the third day of Wimbledon resumed at 2:00 p.m. (3:00 p.m. French) after an hour’s interruption due to the rain which had already delayed their start by an hour and a half. Scheduled from 11:00 a.m., the matches only started at 12:30 p.m. and after half an hour of play, they were again interrupted.
Tuesday, the matches on the outside courts had been definitively interrupted about an hour after their start, so that none had been able to go to an end. Monday already, a shower had interrupted the meetings for an hour and a half, shaking up the program.
Only the matches scheduled on the Central and N.1 courts, which have roofs, have been able to take place normally since the start of the tournament, but they are only scheduled from 1:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. respectively. On Wednesday, however, they were delayed a few minutes to allow the downpour to pass and allow the open-top matches to be held.
