The 12th player in the world, Felix Auger-Aliassime, is the first brand victim in the first round of Wimbledon, beaten by the American Michael Mmoh (119th) 7-6 (7/4), 6-7 (7/4), 7-6 (7/4), 6-4. The Canadian had already lost in the first round at Roland-Garros, against the whimsical thirty-year-old Italian Fabio Fognini in three sets (6-4, 6-4, 6-3) and remained before that on an abandonment in Lyon, before a quarter of final, due to a sore shoulder. Mmoh, meanwhile, was drafted into the main draw as the ‘lucky loser’. He lost in the last round of qualifying against Frenchman Laurent Lokoli in five sets, 2-6, 7-6 (7/2), 6-3, 2-6, 6-2.
