Reims announced on Friday the recruitment of Amine Salama, a 22-year-old striker with a dazzling trajectory, who played last season in Angers, last in Ligue 1. Born in Paris, Salama learned his skills in Montrouge and still played there in Regional 1 (6th division) when he was recruited in January 2022 by Dunkirk (L2).
With only half a professional season and 11 Ligue 2 matches under his belt, he was recruited in the summer by Angers, where he proved to be one of the rare satisfactions of the season. His bursts of speed and his ability to take the depth quickly impressed but in a team in distress, it was not enough, especially since pubalgia has kept him away from the field since March.
For Reims, the attack promises to be the main project of the summer transfer window, after the loss of Folarin Balogun, who was loaned to the Champagne club by Arsenal and scored 21 goals in Ligue 1 last season. According to the local press in Angers, the amount of the transfer exceeds 5 million euros.
