Adrian Mannarino, 43rd in the world, qualified for the semi-finals of the Mallorca grass tournament on Thursday by beating his French compatriot Corentin Moutet (80th) 7-5, 6-2.

“It feels good to win matches, it gives confidence for Wimbledon,” commented Mannarino, who reached the knockout stages of the Major on grass three times (2013, 2017 and 2018), his best Grand Slam result, equaled in Australia in 2022.

Mannarino had already reached the semi-finals of the Majorcan tournament in 2021. This time, if he wants to go further, he will have to dismiss the German Jannick Hanfmann (48th) on Friday, who ended the career of veteran Spanish Feliciano Lopez earlier. (41) 6-2, 6-4.

Faced with Moutet, he was able to retain control of the game and his nerves when his opponent lost control, as often when he is abused.

The other semi-final will pit American Christopher Eubanks (77th) against South African Lloyd Harris (298th).

To reach his first semi-final on the ATP circuit, Eubanks defeated Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech (85th and drafted from qualifying) 7-6 (7/5), 7-6 (7/4).
