The LNB has a new president. It was this Monday that the succession of Alain Béral, in office since 2011, was played out. Two contenders to lead the National Basketball League, Philippe Ausseur and Dominique Juillot. It was the first named who won the bet during the Elective General Assembly which took place at the headquarters of the League, in Paris. Aged 57, the current president of the National Directorate of Consulting and Management Control (DNCCG) inherited 80% of the votes at the General Assembly against the former president of Chalon-sur-Saône, 68 years. He is elected for the next four years.

Philippe Ausseur is a chartered accountant and company director, in addition to his duties at the DNCCG. “He also participated in the “Renovating the governance of professional basketball” working group set up during the 2017-18 season and is a member of the “Salary Cap” commission at the National Rugby League. He has also carried out several missions with various sports organizations and intervenes in conferences or symposiums on professional sport in France”, specifies the National League. And to add: “At the end of 2013, he founded and became President of the Abington Group, an audit, chartered accountant and management consulting firm, with more than 80 employees in France and around the world. For a few months, Abington Advisory has been part of the In Extenso group (250 agencies in France, 5,800 employees and a turnover of 500 million euros in 2022).

Alain Béral, 69, had been at the head of the LNB since 2011. Re-elected in 2015 and 2019, he did not wish to run for a fourth term.
