The Swiss Marlen Reusser won the women’s Tour de Suisse at the end of the 4th and last stage run over 100.8 km around Ebnat-Kappel in the canton of Saint-Gall, won on Tuesday by the New Zealander Niamh Fisher -Black.

Reusser crossed the line in third position 37 seconds behind the winner of this very lively final stage, with four difficulties, including a first category climb and three others of 2nd. The Team SD Worx (SDW) rider played to scare herself by momentarily conceding her yellow jersey virtually to the Polish Katarzyna Niewiadoma (Canyon / SRAM) at the halfway mark.

But like a rocket, Reusser, very comfortable downhill, accelerated with lightning speed, about thirty kilometers from the finish to go home for the third edition of this event now on the World Tour calendar. Her Dutch teammate Demi Vollering offers a double on the podium to her training.
