Johnny Hallyday would have turned 80 on June 15. His last wife, Laeticia testifies to his memory on social networks. “Today, the day you were born, I remember you like this, my soul mate who made my whole world possible. No one made me laugh like you. With infinite gratitude and nothing but love. Endless love.. Happy birthday my love️”, she posted on Instagram.

A second publication is embellished with a video of the rocker filming himself to send a warm message to his loved ones, probably absent: “Hi loves, I tried to reach you but it does not answer (…) I hope you have a nice day. I think of you, I love you and damn it, I miss you! Again, Laetitia pays him a tribute: “My love, we will miss you forever. Eternal imprinted in our hearts. You would have been 80. We are going to celebrate you today. You are loved forever. ️

Battling lung cancer, the singer died on December 5, 2017, at the age of 74. He left behind tearful fans. Between concerts at the cinema, show boxes, documentaries, beautiful books, unpublished… Laetitia Hallyday is busy keeping the memory of the rocker alive. An exhibition retracing the work and life of the singer ends in August in Brussels and will be presented in January in Paris. On this anniversary day, the widow does not forget it and declares herself “extremely moved” to announce that the tickets are now on sale. Count 24.50 euros for the single entry and up to 375 euros for a “legend pack” including a statuette of Johnny.

It remains to be seen whether the public will follow. The organizers have invested 8 million euros in the project and must garner more than 450,000 entries in total to amortize their costs. But since December, the exhibition in Brussels has recorded just over 100,000 entries.
