Juventus Turin coach Massimiliano Allegri assured that he “had nothing to reproach (his) team”, beaten 1-0 by Inter Milan in the shock of the 23rd day of the Italian Championship, Sunday. “We knew it was going to be a difficult match, it was very close and they scored this goal,” noted Allegri, speaking to the DAZN platform, about the own goal scored by Federico Gatti.
“Inter is a very strong, very realistic team, which has more experience, but I have nothing to reproach my team, this match will help us to grow,” he continued. Juve, who conceded only their second defeat of the season, are now four points behind Inter Milan who have however played one match less.
“We are disappointed to have lost, but being 2nd, four points from the lead at this stage of the season, is not something we had imagined at the start of the championship,” underlined Allegri. “Inter were favorites for the title before this match and the rest, but there are still many matches to go. We must now think about resuming our journey towards our objective which remains qualification for the next Champions League,” he concluded.
