The Little Mermaid succumbed on the big French screens to the web woven by Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, now at the top of the CBO Box-Office ranking according to figures released Wednesday.
After the success of the first Oscar-winning part, released in 2018, Sony is back with this sequel which has kept all its promises. And at the same time beats Disney on its own ground, that of cartoons and superheroes, with 120 million receipts in North America alone. In this new animated version of the spider-man, we find Miles Morales, the new face of Spider-Man who appeared in the comics in 2011. Cool teenager from Brooklyn, son of a Latino nurse and an African-American policeman, he was, like the original hero of the saga Peter Parker, bitten by a radioactive spider and swings between the skyscrapers of Manhattan to fight crime.
