It is better to mark this date in the calendars: there are only a few hours left for taxpayers who cannot declare their income online to submit their declaration on paper. The deadline for returning the form is in fact set for Monday, May 22, at 11:59 p.m., and this, “regardless of place of residence (including for French residents abroad), the postmark being taken as proof. “, recalls the tax administration.

The persons concerned received their form between 3 and 27 April. They therefore had a few weeks to take care of their document. Received by mail, it was normally pre-filled by the administration: it is therefore sufficient to check the information, and correct it if necessary. It is also possible to obtain the form in question “from the Public Finance Center (personal tax service) of your home”, specifies Bercy.

The paper declaration remains possible for some people who cannot do it online, such as households without internet access at home, those living in a “white zone”, those unable to use the service online or those who have “explicitly expressed [their] desire to receive a paper declaration”.

However, people filing their declaration in paper format are not the only ones to have to complete their procedures quickly: next week, some of the households declaring their income online will also be affected. Those living in departments numbered 1 to 19, as well as French people living abroad, have until Thursday, May 25 at 11:59 p.m. to fulfill this obligation. Those from departments 20 to 54 will have until June 1 in the evening, and the last until June 8 midnight. Appointments not to be missed, under penalty of having to pay penalties.
