But the former Borussia Dortmund player could leave the English club after his engagement in June. His name is mentioned on the Barcelona side with a two-year contract at stake. A prospect that does not enchant Guardiola, definitely a fan of his 32-year-old midfielder: “I love him. I love it. I’m married, but I adore her! Ilkay is such an important player. Humanity, driving with silence – and yet when he speaks everyone listens,” the Spaniard explained before adding: “He is so smart in the moment and always in the right position.
