It could have been the symbol of the match, if the Memphis Grizzlies had not lost to the Los Angeles Lakers on the night of Monday to Tuesday (117-111 after extra time), during game 4 of this series of the 1st round of the NBA playoffs. On their floor, the Lakers of a stainless LeBron James have enlarged their advantage in the series (3-1). But the “King” almost served as a throne for a new acrobatics by Ja Morant.
On a counter-attack at the end of the 4th quarter, the spectacular Grizzlies point guard flew away for what would probably have been a double step and not a dunk (video below). But LeBron James tried to force a pass, and Morant spun through the air, mastering his fall, luckily for him. The action resulted in some impressive shots.
On a similar action, against Anthony Davis, Ja Morant fell very badly in Game 1 between Memphis and Los Angeles, and injured the fingers of his right hand. The Grizzlies will host the Lakers in Game 5 on Thursday night to Friday (1:30 a.m.). A victory for the Angelinos would qualify them for the next round.
