Majority wants CO₂ budget for everyone – this is how the Germans lie to themselves

It’s a number that should make radical climate protectors happy: a clear majority of Germans are in favor of a per capita CO₂ budget. This means that everyone would get a limited number of emission rights for CO₂-intensive things like flights, meat or other goods. If the budget is used up, nothing that contributes to climate change should be consumed in the respective year.
