When it comes to prosperity, Germany is only average – with two exceptions

Germany is regularly – also here – referred to as the strongest economy in Europe. And in absolute figures that is also true: no other country on the continent has as much gross domestic product (GDP) as the Federal Republic. But a direct comparison of the regions shows that when it comes to prosperity and economic power, only a few parts of the country really belong to the top class in Europe.
