An employee of a flower shop was killed at her workplace in Lichtenfels, Upper Franconia. Two days after the crime, the perpetrator was still at large on Sunday, according to a police spokeswoman.

Police and prosecutors said that walkers discovered the dead 50-year-old on Friday evening. The perpetrator or perpetrators are unknown. Initially, neither a robbery nor a crime in a relationship was ruled out. Investigators also gave no information on the cause of death. The autopsy of the body was still pending at the weekend.

“The police are looking for the perpetrator or perpetrators at high pressure and have set up the 30-strong special commission ‘Flower’ for this purpose,” said the investigators. It is hoped for helpful witness information. By Sunday, a number of tips had already been received.
