TV presenter Markus Lanz (53) and his wife Angela have separated, according to his lawyer. Christian Schertz confirmed on Tuesday at the request of the dpa news agency that the two had already separated some time ago.
In the interests of their children, the lawyer asked that his client’s privacy be respected and that he refrain from further inquiries. The presenter and his wife had been married for 12 years.
In 2008, according to “Bild”, the moderator met the business economist in the Italian restaurant 4Cani in Cologne, when she worked as a waitress. They have two children together. Two years earlier, RTL star Birgit Schrowange (64, mother of his 22-year-old son) had separated from Lanz after eight years of relationship.
