After finding the body of a missing girl from Remshalden in Württemberg, the police do not assume a violent crime. “An external fault can be ruled out,” said the police on Friday. Based on the overall circumstances and the result of the autopsy, “a suicidal event can be assumed”.
It is about a 16-year-old who has been missing for more than a week. The body was found in a wooded area on Thursday. The police, but also the Red Cross, a helicopter and the mountain rescue service had been looking for her for days on sometimes difficult terrain.
The girl had left her parents’ house on January 24, but then did not go to school but took the train to Kirchheim unter Teck. From there she took the Teckbahn towards Lenningen. After that, their trail was lost. “According to our information, the missing person deliberately did not go to school on Tuesday – she probably told schoolmates that,” said a police spokesman.
